With the rugby world cup coming up, we thought for the latest in our series of ‘If..content marketing was’ graphics, we’d attempt a rugby theme. Our minds turned to that incredible 90 yard Chris Ashton try against Australia in November 2010, which some claim may be the greatest England try ever.

What has this got to do with Content Marketing you may wonder. Well quite a lot really. Imagine your prospect is thinking of hiring the market leader, but then via organic search or social media they find a blog from your company that shows how they could do things a different way, smarter and probably cheaper. Suddenly the ball is in your hands and with some joined up marketing and sales activity, you can steal the business from a more ponderous competitor, especially if you have a Chris Ashton on your staff!
